HOW IT WORKS
In order to connect to Azure Files, you need the following information:
Account Key and the URL of your Azure File Share.
You only need to do the following steps to get your Azure File Storage synchonization started.
1. Account Key
Open the Azure Portal, select the desired Azure Storage account and under the settings click Access keys. With Show on the right side of your screen, you can reveal the Connection strings that include Account Key.
Copy the revealed connection string and paste it in a local file so that you can copy the values from there into the configuration screen.

2. AZURE FILES URL
Now you must select the storage File shares where you will get the files from. Please go to File shares, qs-share and find the Share URL. Once there, please copy the URL that Layer2 File Pal should work with.


3. Open your Layer2 File Pal to Create a new connection WITH Azure FILES
After you copied the information you can open your Layer2 File Pal and click NEW CONNECTION.

4. Give Your connection a Name and choose azure FILES
Choose your first system (Azure Files, on the left side of your screen). You can enable/disable background synchronization and deletions here (top right). If it is activated, files deleted on one side will also be deleted on the other side.

5. Configure Azure FILES using the retrieved values
Enter the requested information. After you copied the information into the configuration view, it should look like this (note, that the Account Key is masked):

6. CHOOSE YOUR SECOND SYSTEM
On the right side of your screen you can choose the system you want to sync to Azure Files. Pick and configure the sytem you want to sync and click DONE. Here is your connection!
