HOW IT WORKS
In order to connect your Microsoft SharePoint, you should follow the next steps.
1. Create a new connection WITH Microsoft SharePoint
Open your Layer2 File Pal and click on NEW CONNECTION.

2. Give Your connection a Name and Choose Microsoft SharePoint
Choose your first system (Microsoft SharePoint, on the left side of your screen). You can enable/disable background synchronization and deletions here (top right). If it is activated, files deleted on one side will also be deleted on the other side.

3. Connect your System
When you see the window below, click CONNECT.

4. Login To MICROSOFT
If this is your very first SharePoint system configuration after the installation of Layer2 File Pal you have to pick an account and log in to Microsoft.

5. Consent to Permissions
If you configure your SharePoint connection for the first time, you're asked twice to consent to permissions. Click ACCEPT.


6. Close Tab
If you see this text, you can close the browser tab.

7. Select a SharePoint library
A list will appear, similar to the list in the image below. Use the arrows on the right and navigate to the document library you want to synchronize. By clicking on the library, select it and confirm by clicking DONE.

8. Configuration of the Library
You can now change the library with the upper CHANGE button - this will navigate back to the upper navigation screen. Change the view with the three dots on the right (...) and select a folder with the lower CHANGE button.

9. Confirm settings
Click DONE to confirm the configuration of the Microsoft SharePoint system.

10. CHOOSE YOUR SECOND SYSTEM
On the right side of your screen you can choose the system you want to sync to the Microsoft SharePoint. Pick and configure the system and click DONE. Here is your connection!

Alternative way to Step 3 to 7
You can supplement step 3 to 7 with the following steps (A to C).
A. Connect your System WITH A URL
Click Show more options. Now you can enter the name of the SharePoint tenant or enter the SharePoint address (e.g. https://mycompany.sharepoint.com) or the URL to a document library (you can copy it from the browser). Afterwards click CONNECT.

B. LOGIN TO MICROSOFT
If this is your very first SharePoint system configuration after the installation of Layer2 File Pal you have to pick an account and log in to Microsoft.

C. CONSENT TO PERMISSIONS
The first time you set up a connection to SharePoint, the consent screen appears. Click ACCEPT. After logging in, the SharePoint tenant associated with the account will be used. Move on with step 8 (CONFIGURATION OF THE LIBRARY).
