MongoDB SharePoint Data Integration and Synchronization
MongoDB data can be integrated and
synchronized codeless with Microsoft SharePoint using the Layer2 Business Data List Connector via 3rd party data
providers. SharePoint users will have all common SharePoint list features as
usual, e.g. search, metadata, change notifications, workflows on external data
MongoDB is well-known
as a cross-platform document-oriented database. Classified as a NoSQL database,
MongoDB eschews the traditional table-based relational database structure in
favor of JSON-like documents with dynamic schemas. That makes the integration of
data in certain types of applications much easier and faster. MongoDB can be
integrated codeless with Microsoft SharePoint 2019, 2016, 2013, and 2010 on-premises (also
Foundation) using the Layer2 Business Data List Connector.
To connect to MongoDB the SharePoint list must be configured as follows in the
Layer2 Business Data List Connector List Settings:
