Installation: "The Windows SharePoint Services Timer service is NOT started" error message

• Please check the current service state in the sytem control / services menu. If the service is disabled, then please enable it. If it's really not running, please start the service manually.
• If it already runs, you have possibly started the installer task without appropiate permissions to request the current state of the service.
• With Windows Server 2008 don't forget to run the installation task "as administrator" with right click using the context menu.
