The Layer2 Cloud Connector is now able to connect Twitter to integrate data to a wide range of IT backend systems including Office 365, SharePoint, SQL, ERP/CRM.

The social networking and online news service Twitter is a platform for social communications and interactions with a high popularity among the world, counting 319 million monthly active users in 2016. As the Social Network Sites’ usage is continuously growing, services like Twitter became an important channel for companies for promotions, customer loyalty campaigns, and corporate communications.

The Germany-based company Layer2, known as a specialist for data integration and file sync tools for cloud and on premise systems, now gives Twitter users the possibility to integrate or backup their Twitter activities with other systems like Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, SQL like Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, ERP/CRM/CMS like Dynamics CRM/ERP/NAV, and more via the Layer2 Cloud Connector.

“As Twitter has billions of users, we wanted to increase the experience of their usage, so users can easily integrate and sync their tweets, retweets, messages, follower lists, or else, with other systems, to allow a higher flexibility in collaboration and better monitoring, testing, or analyzing possibilities like for Social Media Managers” explains Matthias Hupe, General Manager of Layer2.

Seamless integration of data in just minutes without programming

In general, the Layer2 products are characterized by adding additional features to the Microsoft Cloud and help customers to quickly adapt and improve working with their software without any specific data integration knowledge. Data integration via the Layer2 Cloud Connector is seamless without programming efforts and modifying on the connected systems, hence no installation or customization on Twitter or the connected data sources are required. It can be hosted locally (as a Windows Service), in public, or in private clouds (like Azure).

“The Layer2 Cloud Connector is often referred as the “Swiss Army Knife” of cloud data migration, integration, and backup while it optimizes collaboration and budgets by decreasing the complexity, the costs, and the risks of projects and reducing the dependency on corporate IT, or external consulting. Due to the simple usage, no additional tools or programming are required”, adds Frank Daske, Business Development Manager of Layer2.
